Fathers Day Gift Ideas

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Do the fathers in your life seem to be the most difficult to shop for?! No? Just me... okay... Well, my husband, dad and father-in-law are all mysteries to me. Every year for birthdays, Christmas and fathers day I am at a loss of what to make/get them.

This year I wanted to make Fathers Day extra special for a couple different reasons but one of them being that its Lee's first official Fathers Day!! Woo-Hoo!

It's amazing to think about all that goes into these days each year. I mean just think of all the bottles that have been washed, the diapers that have been changed, the cries that have been soothed, the giggles that have been heard, the information that has been learned, the fact that we all are still alive ... it really is something to be celebrated!!

As I was perusing pinterest for gift ideas I came across a few that I thought were too cute not to share! The best part about these is they are CHEAP yet more special and meaningful than any store bought gift could ever be. (insert thumbs up & hair flipping emoji)

1) Isn't this card just the cutest?! For those golf loving fellas in your life this would make the perfect little gift. Check out Crafty Morning's Blog to get the instructions!

2) This is the perfect gift for a little baby or toddler to make for their daddy. Of course help would be needed in cutting and gluing the crayons but I mean, seriously?! Such a fun and cute idea.

3) Who doesn't love just getting money as a gift?! However, this cute and creative presentation takes getting money to a whole other level! Click the here to get step-by-step instructions on how to make this card!

4) For the grill masters in your family (aka- my dad), this would be a great gift that they could use for years to come! I also saw a serving plate option of this! So fun and easy and the best part is the end result for all would be a delicious meal straight from the grill! :)

5) My husband loves to fish (I really don't think I've met a man who doesn't) and often talks about how excited he is for when our kids are old enough to take them fishing with him! Wouldn't this tackle box paired with maybe a gift card to Gander Mountain for new fishing poles be such an exciting gift for him and the kids?! And maybe, just maybe, they'll take the day and go fishing and leave you behind! :)

Well, there you have it friends, some of the cutest and most affordable gifts I could find! Of course these gifts are geared toward younger kids but the principle still remains- homemade is better than store bought!

If you have a great idea or come across one I would love to hear it in the comments below! Good luck and happy gifting! :)
